Here is an amazing part of design history for colt modern handguns. The restoration of the colt Model 1903 pocket hammer. The Colt pocket hammer was modeled after the Colt sight safety and Colt 1902 Sporting and military models. This model has no slide stop or safety. This model was different from the 1911 in the fact that it had two barrel link pins rather than just the one. The 1903 also had a huge design flaw. The rectangle locking pin at the front of the slide could brake sending the slide right into your face since the takedown of the slide was in reverse of the 1911. All in all the model had its drawbacks and maybe one positive. This pistol was ambidextrous due to no slide stop or external safety. Hope you enjoy the video and as always thanks for watching.
