Singapore National Day Fireworks (NE1) | Singapore 2024 Fireworks

The Singapore National Day Parade (NDP) 2024 was a vibrant celebration held on August 9th, commemorating the country’s independence. The theme for the 59th National Day was “Together, As One United People”, reflecting the spirit of inclusivity, community, and trust.

The celebrations were held at The Padang, encompassing performances by students from the Ministry of Education and the combined Military Tattoo comprising the SAF Band and four Secondary Schools’ Bands. The Volunteer Contingent returned to showcase how every Singaporean has a part to play in the defense of Singapore. The parade also included crowd favorites such as the State Flag Flypast, Salute to the Nation, the Presidential Gun Salute, and Feu de Joie.

For the first time, the Onward March was performed at the Padang, where the marching contingents marched onto the spectator stand. The parade also showcased the integrated Whole-of-Government and community responses to possible threats across various scenarios.
The celebrations extended to the Promontory @ Marina Bay on August 9th, where attendees enjoyed fireworks, maritime and aerial segments, stage performances, and the live telecast of NDP at the Padang. The festivities continued in the heartlands on August 10th, with stage performances, static displays of SAF, SCDF, and SPF vehicles, fireworks displays, and family activities.

The NDP 2024 also included public engagement and outreach activities where Singaporeans could give back to society. This was part of a broader effort to promote volunteerism in 2024. Campaigns included FlyOurFlag, EatAsOne, August Goes to School, and Dance of the Nation.
