Happy New Year! SNICKERDOODLES are a family favorite! We love to make these cookies and they are SUPER easy! We are still working on a website, but I am posting the recipe below. :)
SNICKERDOODLES
INGREDIENTS
◦ ½ cup softened butter
◦ ¾ cup sugar
◦ 1 large eggs
◦ 1 ½ cups flour
◦ 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
◦ ½ teaspoon baking soda
◦ 1/8 teaspoon salt
◦ 2 teaspoons sugar
◦ 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Mix butter, slowly add ¾ cup sugar and blend together.
3. Add pre-beaten egg and mix thoroughly.
4. Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
5. Slowly add dry ingredients one scoop at a time into butter mixture.
6. Chill dough for about 30 minutes, and chill an ungreased cookie sheet for about 10-15 minutes in the freezer.
7. Meanwhile, mix 2 teaspoons sugar, and 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon in a small bowl.
8. Scoop 1-inch globs (golf ball size) of dough into the sugar/ cinnamon mixture.
9. Coat by gently rolling balls of dough in the sugar mixture.
10. Place on chilled ungreased cookie sheet, and bake 10 minutes.
(Do not overcook)
11. Remove from pan immediately. Let cool for 10 minutes.
