Foucault's geneology approach is fundamentally resonant with much of Deleuze's thinking because it examines the process of becoming. Geneology is a way of examining how singularities become actual. Deleuze always opposes universality and broad generalizations. So Foucault's method of examining history in the specific and particular rather that trying to find grand narratives is particularly adaptable to Deleuze's methods
