This slow, ballad version of "The Star of the County Down" comesfrom the 2001 release of "The Best of Slainte". This gives the song a whole new slant.
This multi-generational band had players whose ages spanned 30 years. They were based out of Tacoma, WA. The band was named "Slainte", which means "Cheers" in Gaelic, because they wanted to play enjoyable, happy music. I do hope that you Enjoy!
