Dan Mannarino's bi-weekly one-on-one with NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea continued Wednesday with Shea talking more about the NYPD losing a member of the force Tuesday when he was struck by an intoxicated driver. Shea said funeral services for the fallen officer are being arranged but are expected to be held early next week. Shea also spoke on a rise in anti-police rhetoric and the ongoing surge of gun violence across the city. Shea believes there needs to be changes to the entire system, including the laws and tools police have to work with to find guns and would-be shooters. The commissioner also talked about how the department is trying to get a hold on crime in the subways.
