Based on how much I dig the Bugera Trirec I found at a pawn shop earlier this week I went ahead and ordered Bugera's take on Marshall's 100 watt Plexi amp of the late 60's. The amp arrived today around Noon so I literally had the amp 2 hours when I shot this little video.
I've never had the pleasure of playing through a Marshall Plexi-type amp so this is new territory for me. As such I'm thinking I'll learn more about dialing in a great tone the more I mess with it.
For this demo I played a custom Fender Strat with a Duncan JB in the bridge. Neck pickup is a Duncan Vintage Hot Stack and the Middle is a Duncan Classic Hot Stack. The guitar is plugged straight into the amp. Out of the speaker jack into a Suhr Reactive Load which then runs into my Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt and into my Mac. In my DAW (Logic Pro X) I'm running Redwirez MixIR2 with a few ir's from Celestion's G12M-25 to simulate a Marshall 4x12 cab.
