The public "won’t have long" to wait before the conclusions of the Metropolitan Police’s inquiry into 'partygate', Boris Johnson has said, as he refused to say whether he would resign if he is found to have broken the rules.
The Prime Minister hinted that the Met’s inquiry into 12 alleged lockdown-breaking parties in Downing Street and the Cabinet Office was almost complete, and promised to say "a lot more about it in due course".
But Mr Johnson told the BBC's Sunday Morning programme repeatedly there was "nothing" he could say on the matter until the police inquiry was completed.
