Here is my guitar and bass cover of Revolution by the Beatles! I thought that since I had the same three guitars as they used in film clip, I'd put together the same outfits too :)

The guitars were recorded directly into the inputs of my interface, and sent through the Waves REDD.51 and Waves Saturator plugins, all set with a lot of gain. The bass is also recorded as a DI signal, but with no plugins. I was happy with how it sounded straight away. The isolated drums were extracted from the rock band multi-tracks.

I played everything in the key of A, and pitch shifted the final mix up to somewhere between Bb and B, I think this is what the Beatles did in order to raise the speed of the track. We also see that they are playing in A on the film clip. Finally, as per the original stereo mix, the guitars are panned hard right, drums left, and the bass and lead guitar overdub stay in the center.
