This was as bad as I could make the noise, window open, cold engine.

The pinking is the sound of detonation, blow head gasket. No other symptoms (such as oil in water) as it was between cylinders (1&2, 4&5, 5&6) rather than to the outside.

I also had a broken chain guide that didn't fix

Compression test was 100,100,165,140,90,110.

New head gasket and chain guide and now perfect.

If your car sounds like this, it's likely to be the head gasket - sorry
