The Calatrava 6000G is a traditional watch with an avant-garde dial. The -001 seen here, was only produced in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Smaller wrists have no problem wearing the watch but with the white gold casing, the watch wears slightly heavier.

Complementing the white gold case and black dial is a black alligator strap and white gold single fold deployant buckle. The strap has slight bolstering on as it approaches the case and a soft calfskin leather underside making it comfortable to wear. A nice addition to the strap and case, is the quick release for the spring bar. This allows you to quickly and easily change out the strap without resorting to tools.

The lugs are quite prominent on the watch, with a strong drawn tension. Entirely in high-polish, the watch also has a strong presence. The contrasting black dial references an automotive dashboard in the way it is designed. The black, white and red of the dial give the watch even more personality.

Visible through the exhibition caeback, you'll see the micro-rotor typically reserved for grand complication models. The entire movement is visible thanks to the micro rotor being sunk into the same plane as the bridges and the large crystal.
