What role does writing play in climate education? How can climate writing across the curriculum lead to meaningful advocacy? Can writing foster a sense of agency and hope among my students? Join us to explore these questions and more!

Write the World, a community of teen writers and educators from 100+ countries around the world, is dedicated to developing the critical thinking and communication skills essential to becoming active global citizens. Liza Cochran, Senior Manager at WtW, and her colleague Clare McFadden lead participants through a workshop style webinar, showcasing the power of writing to engage students in meaningful climate action. Participants in this webinar gain hands-on experience in three genres (Advocacy Writing, Climate Fiction, and Poetry), and leave with classroom activities, lesson plans, and a standards alignment guide.

Your students (ages 13-19) are also invited to enter Write the World's Climate Writing Awards in fiction, poetry, and advocacy writing. March 24 - April 7. Please email Liza@writetheworld.org for more information.
