The Democratic Republic of the Congo’s (DRC’s) army and M23 militant group have been fighting for control of the eastern DRC’s Goma city and the surrounding mineral-rich area for many years. However, while Kinshasa has long accused Kigali of providing financial, political and military support to M23—and despite mounting evidence against Rwanda—Rwandan President Paul Kagame has always denied culpability.
During Pan-African Attitude podcast episode no. 8, held at African Stream’s studios in Nairobi, Pan-African scholar PLO Lumumba admitted to being friends with Kagame.
