This is how to record acoustic guitar without a mic! Don't have a mic? Recording in a noisy home or dealing with bad acoustics? Or maybe you just want to lay some acoustic guitar tracks down as quickly as possible. In this video, I'm going to show you the best way of dealing with all of these issues in three simple steps.
Firstly, I go over the equipment that you'll need to get started. The great thing is that you'll already have most of it! Secondly, I'll go over how to get setup and prepared to get the best recording possible. And the third step is the recording stage. I'll show you a couple of things that you need to look out for when recording, and you'll get to hear the tones that I'm able to get (they're surprisingly good!)
Recording guitar using direct input/DI (the method you'll be learning here) actually has a lot of benefits over recording using a mic (and some cons!), and we'll be going over what those are at the end of the video as well.
