The 2017 World Police and Fire Games, held Aug. 7-16 in Los Angeles, California, brought together thousands of police officers and firefighters from all over the world to showcase their physical skills. The event featured competition across 56 different sports, ranging from CrossFit, powerlifting and swimming to judo, motocross and volleyball.

The CrossFit portion of the competition included eight different age categories, and the top 10 athletes in each age group from CrossFit’s 2017 Service Open automatically qualified.

Held every two years, the World Police and Fire Games will next take place in Chengdu, China, Aug. 8-18, 2019.
