I felt that YouTube was lacking a good regeneration compilation, so I threw one together and here it is. Enjoy! This video contains all of The Doctors regenerations up to the Eleventh's regeneration into Twelve during "The Time of the Doctor"

1. William Hartnell – Patrick Troughton: The First Doctor dies of old age/exhaustion after battling the Cyberman on Mondas.

2. Patrick Troughton – Jon Pertwee: The Time Lords force the Doctor to regenerate and he becomes exiled to Earth in his new body.

3. Jon Pertwee – Tom Baker: The Third Doctor dies of radiation poisoning from the crystals of Metabelis Three.

4. Tom Baker – Peter Davison: The Fourth Doctor fell from the Pharos Project radio tower, causing him to regenerate.

5. Peter Davison – Colin Baker: Whilst on Androzani Minor, the Fifth Doctor contracts Spectrox Toxemia poisoning.

6. Colin Baker – Sylvester McCoy: When the TARDIS is attacked by the Rani, the Sixth Doctor hits his head fatally on the TARDIS control panel.

7. Sylvester McCoy – Paul McGann: After the Seventh Doctor is shot by gangsters, 21st century human doctors incorrectly operate on him causing him to die and regenerate.

8. Paul McGann – John Hurt: After crashing on Karn and dying, the Sisterhood of Karn temporarily resurrected the Eighth Doctor and persuaded him to trigger regeneration with their potions.

9. John Hurt – Christopher Eccleston: Exhausted by the effort of fighting in the Great Time War, the War Doctor regerates on the TARDIS.

10. Christopher Eccleston – David Tennant: The Ninth Doctor absorbs the time vortex from Rose Tyler in order to save her, causing cellular degeneration in his 10th body.

11. David Tennant – Matt Smith: To save Wilfred Mott, the Tenth Doctor absorbs an incredible amount of radiation and has to regenerate.

12. Matt Smith – Peter Capaldi: After battling all sorts of foes on Trenzalore, the old, dying Eleventh Doctor is granted a new set of regenerations by the Time Lords.


This video was inspired by Brian Rimmer's original (outdated) compilation with an added mini-tribute to all of the actors who took on the role of the Doctor. I know he's got an admittedly better version on DailyMotion, but we all like YouTube.
