To clarify:
Midazolam is the generic name and Versed is the brand name - this is a sedative
Vecuronium is the generic name and Norcuron is the brand name - this is a paralytic
In the case I reference in the video, a nurse pulled vecuronium thinking it was Versed, thereby causing a patient to die while undergoing a diagnostic scan.
Also, I mentioned the nitroglycerin spray going on the tongue...this is not buccal administration, this is called translingual. Sometimes my mouth moves faster than my brain, so I always like to clarify :-)
