King’s College London Brass Band (KCLBB), formed in December 2020, is a non-auditioning brass band welcoming any brass or percussion playing musician from King’s. A relatively young band, KCLBB began in person rehearsals in September 2021 and has been looking forward to this year’s UniBrass contest from the outset. During the second and third national lockdowns, KCLBB competed in the Kapitol Cory Online Brass Band Championships and made an immediate impact on the university banding scene. The Band managed to win 3rd place overall in the University Section, as well as best ‘Shield’ section band, most entertaining programme, best ‘regional theme’, and best percussion. This year is KCLBB’s first visit to UniBrass where the band hopes to continue the success of the previous year.
UniBrass 2022 was hosted by the University of Sheffield Brass Band.
Produced by BrassPass and edited by UniBrass.
