Sheriyah || Sweet Fried Vermicelli
Sheriyah is a Sudanese sweet fried vermicelli/pasta dish. It is usually served as a dessert.
INGREDIENTS LIST:
500g short cut angel hair pasta (you can also use spaghetti and just break it into smaller pieces)
¼ - ½ cup sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ canola oil (use oil of choice)
HOW MY FAMILY & I EAT THIS: We eat this as it is. It can also be served with milk or cream on top. To give it a savoury kick, I sometimes like to add a tablespoon of natural yoghurt when eating it.
