#Bara (#बारा ) is a traditional #Newari snack that is prepared using #black lentil. Bara is a healthy and hygienic food and one of the most popular foods in #Kathmandu #Nepal among #Newari community. It is important part of #Newa Sagoon.
Bara is also known as Batuk (बटुक ) among #Magar community (but mostly uses Chickpeas instead of black lentils) and very important during Makar Sankranti.
In some part of India, modified version is also known as #Medu vada.
