Snow art, snow forts, snowflakes...there are lots of ways to get active outdoors in the winter!
This week we are exploring 6 fun snow activities for young children. Playing in the snow offers opportunities for open-ended and sensory play, creativity, working on balance and coordination and more.
The activities Jillian goes over are all taken from the Active for Life webpage, which is focused on promoting physical literacy among Canadian children of all ages and during all times of the year. They include sledding (at home or at a park), going to the park, catching snowflakes, building snow forts, making snow art and all kinds of other games.
