Technical info
Audio for the guitar samples was recorded using Amplitube 4's DAW on the American Clean 2 amp sim and Fender '65 Twin Reverb cab simulations. Apart from EQ and the amp's onboard spring reverb no effects or compression were used in the recording. All settings were identical across all recordings. That said the the volume was reduced (again consistently) on the video editor for the rhythm guitar parts to prevent clipping. The switch was on the bridge/middle setting for all audio clips.
The guitar (a 2019 FSR Squier Bullet SSS Strat) was already modified, prior to this comparison being made, with Warman Texas Triple Hot Ceramics, Fender 5-way switch, Wilkinson EZ-Lok 6L tuners, Orange Drop (22) capacitor, Allparts output jack and Graphtec Tusq string trees. The fretboard and neck were also worked on to improve speed and playability.
Note this block was sent to me for free. I had previously tested a faulty block and provided feedback and then this one was sent to me as a replacement once the testing period was over
