Karasev is a crispy flavourful snack for Diwali, with rice flour, besan and red chilli. A simple straight forward recipe, which will never go wrong. Karasev is simple snack for Diwali. With the wonderful flavour of Garlic & red chilli.
Ingredients
* 1 cup Besan/Gram flour/ kadalai mavu
* 1/4 cup Rice flour
* 1 tsp Cumin seeds
* 1/2 tsp Garlic Paste
* 1/4 tsp Asafoetida powder
* 1/4tsp Turmeric powder
* 1Tbsp Butter
* Salt As needed
* Red Chilli 10 nos
* Oil For deep frying
Instructions
* Take both rice flour and besan in a bowl.
* Add Ground Red Chilli and Jeera, Garlic, Salt, Turmeric, Asafoetida. and Butter Mix well.
* Add enough water to dough. Make as a smooth dough.
* Take the murukku press with the same plate we use to make murukku.
* Fill the press with dough and press in hot oil in large circles. Do not make too many layers.
* Fry in medium flame on both sides till the bubbles and ‘shhhh’sounds ceases. Drain over paper towels.
Maa Ladoo are made from roasted gram or roasted chana dal. These roasted gram ladoos are made during festive occasions in Tamil Nadu. These are quick and easy ladoo made with few ingredients… Ideal to make during Diwali festival.These maa ladoos do taste different from Besan ladoos, but are nonetheless good. For binding them, I have used ghee.
Give these quick maa ladoos a try this Diwali festival. They are ready under 15 minutes. They are not only delicious but very nutritious and healthy also.
Ingredients
* 1 Cup Roasted Gram (Pottukadalai)
* 1/2 Cup Sugar
* 1/4 Ghee
* Cardamom 3 nos
* 2 tsp Cashews
* 2 tsp Raisins
Instructions
1.Grind the Roasted Gram(Pottukadalai) along with sugar and cardamom in a mixer to a nice powder.
2.Take a sieve and sieve the ground fried gram with sugar once to make sure there are no lumps. Take the sieved gram flour in a mixing bowl. In a pan, heat 1 tbsp of ghee and add the cashews& raisins and fry until it turns golden brown color and keep it aside.
3.Add the roasted cashews & raisins to the roasted gram dal flour in the mixing bowl.
4.Mix well & add ghee . Start shaping them into laddus.
