Protests erupted outside of the Georgian parliament on Thursday, 2 March, over a controversial “foreign agents” bill backed by the ruling party.
The draft law would require any organisations receiving more than 20% of their funding from overseas to register as “foreign agents”, or face substantial fines.
Some Georgian MPs, such as including Anna Buchukuri, have live-streamed the political turmoil.
