Panasonic Lumix S5 II is the first Lumix Mirrorless camera that has a phase detection autofocus system. But can the Lumix S5II's autofocus performance be anywhere close to the King of the Autofocus, Sony and Canon? I tested them side by side and the results may not be what you expected.
Disclaimer: Panasonic has paid for my trip to Japan to attend the Lumix summit in Dec 2022 when they showed us the S5II privately. They have also provided me a long-term loan S5II camera and a few lenses for me to work on the S5II review and other content.
Camera gear I used to shoot this video:

Panasonic Lumix S5 | Lumix S 50mm f/1.8
Canon R6II | Canon RF 50mm f/1.2L
Sony A7IV | Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM
