"Corazón Espinado" (English: "Thorned Heart") is a song by Latin rock band Santana featuring Latin rock group Maná. The song was written, produced, and sung by Fher Olvera, co-produced by Alex González, and was released on June 13, 2000, as the fifth single from their seventeenth studio album, Supernatural (1999), and became a massive hit in Spanish-speaking countries. It won the "Record of the Year" and "Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group" at the 2000 Latin Grammy Awards. In addition, Santana and Maná performed the song at the Latin Grammys.
fun facts about Santana:
- his first instrument was the violin.
- he proposed on stage in July 2010, when Carlos married his touring drummer Cindy Blackman later that year. The proposal took place during one of their concerts in Chicago after her drum solo.
- Santana owns a restaurant chain named Maria Maria.
- The guitarist also has his own line of shoes. A portion of the proceeds from sales is donated to The Milagro Foundation, founded by Carlos and his family in 1998. The foundation benefits vulnerable children worldwide in the areas of education, health, and the arts.
