The third boss fight in Mario tennis aces is the Snow Ogre in Snowfall Summit. There are a few mechanics that you need to pay attention in order to make this fight as easy as possible.
The name of the game is do not break your racket! This boss battle gives you plenty of time and if you let a power shot go by that is perfectly fine. Missing a power shot will reduce your total time by 5 seconds.
First off, you can tell when a charge shot is coming because the hand that is returning the ball will be closed for a long period of time. The screen will also stop time for half a second and you can hear the sound of a charge. There are a lot of cues indicating that a charge shot is on the way.
When one hand is trying to smash you the best thing is to change position forward and backward. If you move left to right, it is easy to miss a shot. The hand trying to smash you is right where the ball where end up. Basically, the ball is going to be send to your last known good position which is the same place that the second hand is trying to smash you.
When a star appears where you can do a zone shot (press R) do not accidentally do a super shot (by pressing L). Doing a super shot will not allow you to shoot through the blocking hand and will just waste your opportunity. You will then have to return a couple of shots to reduce the snow ogre's health before having an opportunity to zone shot again.
When you have a chance to zone shot be sure to hit the hand that is weak on the ground right in the eye.
The next part of the fight will requite you to trick shot over the ice blocks that are on the way. Successful trick shots will increase your special power and save yourself from losing 5 seconds on the total fight.
The hardest part of this boss is trying not to get your racket broken. My biggest tip is to use your zone time whenever caught off guard. Hold R to slow down time when a special shot is on the way. The ball will have a white glow below it on a special or power shot. Get as close as you can to the shadow below the ball before hitting the Y button. It will feel like it is too close at first but it is the perfect block spot.
Remember, you will need some zone power in order to do a zone shot. Do not use your zone power on ever special shot. If you have no power when the star shows on the ground, you will not be able to do a zone shot.
