As humanity loses track of the several vibrant and unique communities on earth, their socio-cultural history, values, practices and lifestyle slowly begin to seep away into extinction. It is the aim and passion of Jimmy Nelson, an award-winning professional photographer known for his portraits of tribal and indigenous people, to preserve the tradition of these different sections of our society with the help of his lenses. It is his dream to create global awareness about the world’s cultural diversity through his photography and show the beauty of these hidden gems to the entire planet. Jimmy Nelson is an award-winning photographer whose goal and objective is to create an iconic document of indigenous cultures and leave a visual legacy for future generations. He aspires to make an aesthetically pleasing photographic and cinematic document that will endure. His work will serve as a stepping stone for further debate about the validity and beauty of these rapidly vanishing cultures. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
