In this video i go over how to install the GekkoScience Compac F on a Raspberry Pi 4.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Instructions work on most Linux operating systems such as Ubuntu or Linux Mint.

These set up instructions should also work for the following devices, plug and play:
GekkoScience Compac
GekkoScience 2Pac
GekkoScience Newpac
GekkoScience Terminus R606
Antminer U1
Antminer U2
Block Erupter USB Miner

Set up guide // Compilation instructions for the GekkoScience Newpac a Raspberry Pi 4.
Also works for Raspberry Pi Model 3 A+ or Pi 3 B+.
Step 1: Flash an SD card with the latest version of Raspberry Pi OS.
Raspberry Pi Imager :

After you flash the SD card with the appropriate version (I used Raspberry Pi OS (32-bit)) you simply enter it into the Raspberry Pi and turn it on.
How to compile cgminer on a Raspberry Pi / Linux Mint / Ubuntu
Open the “Terminal” app. Enter the following commands. If you have trouble, enter each command as its own separate line:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade -y
sudo apt-get install -y build-essential autoconf automake libtool pkg-config libcurl4-openssl-dev libudev-dev libusb-1.0-0-dev libncurses5-dev zlib1g-dev git
cd
git clone [ Ссылка ]
cd cgminer
CFLAGS="-O2 -march=native -fcommon" ./autogen.sh --enable-gekko --enable-icarus
sudo make install
— That’s it! You should be good to test if the installation was successful.
Type in the command:
cd cgminer
sudo cgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333 -u 1BURGERAXHH6Yi6LRybRJK7ybEm5m5HwTr -p x --suggest-diff 442
you'll need to change the 1BURGERAXHH6Yi6LRybRJK7ybEm5m5HwTr to your pool username or to something like poolusername.worker and change your url to the appropriate mining pool URL.
How to overclock:
To run it at a higher frequency, add on to the commands:
--gekko-compacf-freq 400
The latest version of the gekko driver (as of 2021-10-17) has a new mining option:
--gekko-mine2
This uses a slightly different mining loop that also reports all frequency changes to the screen,
and why they change if it stepped down.
There's a second option if you have enabled the mine2 option:
--gekko-tune2 60
Some sticks have trouble below 200 MHz and some have trouble below 300 MHz and kind of "get stuck" at lower hash rates. For most, 300MHz is past the breakover point where they start running well. Kano & co added a couple of new features, "start-freq" and "gekko-tune-up". in use it looks like this:
--gekko-compacf-freq 400 --gekko-start-freq 300 --gekko-tune-up 85
A script i usually run looks similar to this:
sudo cgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333 -u 1BURGERAXHH6Yi6LRybRJK7ybEm5m5HwTr -p x --suggest-diff 442 --gekko-compacf-freq 400 --gekko-start-freq 300 --gekko-tune-up 85 --gekko-mine2 --gekko-tune2 60
which means it targets 400MHz, starts ramping from 300MHz (instead of the default 200), and will step up when the measured hashrate breaks 85% of expected (instead of the default ...90-95%?). if you have issues with underclocking, you just need to play around a bit with different settings.
info on the voltage screw:
the voltage screw increases or decreases the power draw on the stick.
If the hash rate stabilizes lower than what you had prior to turning it, turn it in the opposite direction.
I've found that you need to to play around with the screw at different positions. Some you have to turn clockwise, others counterclockwise.

I have all of mine running now within 5-10% of the same hash rate, like 12+. It's just annoying cause it takes patience. You need to adjust it, leave it for like an hour or two, then try it again in a different position depending on how the hash rate behaves. Took like a week to get thru 12 lol. Occasionally you might have to adjust the position of the screw of a stick or two after a couple of months or weeks of operation.
good luck hashing!
