دشتتاخ تقع هذه القرية في أقصى شمال العراق قرب الحدود مع تركيا في محافظة دهوك .

تقع القرية على سهل منبسط مساحته مايقارب (92) دونم من الجهة الجنوبية والجنوبية الغربية لنهر هيزل الذي يفصل بين تركيا والعراق ومن الجهة اليسرى نهر سناط والجهة الشرقية سلاسل جبال سناط. وهي قرية صغيرة لم يتجاوز عدد ساكنيها العشرة عوائل. ويعود تاريخ نشوء القرية إلى زمن بعيد.

تبعد القرية عن مركز ناحية سندي بحدود (50) كلم، وهي مرتبطة بطريق جبلي مبلط، ساكني القرية الاصليين هم جماعات من أهالي قرية سناط، ويترددون إليها لغرض الزراعة ورعي المواشي.

تتمتع القرية بموقع ستراتيجي ومناخها بارد شديد الرياح وممطر شتاءً ومعتدل في الفصول الأخرى. يمتهن اهاليها زراعة مختلف المحاصيل وصيد الحيوانات الجبلية والاسماك، وهم على تواصل بينهم وبين اهاليهم في قرية سناط حيث كان أولادهم يواصلون تعليمهم في مدرسة سناط.

The village is located on a flat plain with an area of ​​about (92) dunams on the south and southwest side of the Hazel River that separates Turkey and Iraq, and on the left side the Sanat River and the eastern side, the Sanat mountain ranges. It is a small village, the number of its inhabitants did not exceed ten families. The history of the emergence of the village goes back to a long time.

The village is located 50 km from the center of Sindi district, and it is linked to a paved mountain road.

The village enjoys a strategic location and its climate is cold, windy and rainy in winters and mild in the other seasons. Its people cultivate various crops and hunt mountain animals and fish, and they are in contact with their families in the village of Sanat, where their children were continuing their education at the Sanat School.
