If you've ever been to a thrift store, I'm sure you've noticed that there's usually a furniture section. Most of the time it's full of dark and dingy furniture that has seen better days. Those pieces are my favorite. Just a little bit of paint (sometimes new hardware) and my guess is it will be unrecognizable from the original.
