Murals using the Fresco technique is one of the very few that have been preserved until today. This technique was used in Ancient Greece, about 3.500 years ago, and was then used in Pompeii and later on in Byzantium and the Italian Renaissance. The base of this technique is liquid lime combined with sand and, mainly, the painter's speed to paint before the surface dries up.
