Although there were no great "Blitz" campaigns such as those seen in London and Coventry, the Luftwaffe made many determined bombing attacks on the North of England. This documentary looks at life in the wartime North, including the V1 rocket raids on the towns on the North Eastern coastline and the work of anti-aircraft Barrage Ballon squadrons.
