Get Your Free DRUM! Mag Pack ► [ Ссылка ] Master storyteller and "Wood Whisperer" John Good, VP at Drum Workshop, describes how he came to make the new Pure Almond limited edition drum sets. It all started with the veal Milanese at a diner in Southern California, and ended up on an almond farm in the northern end of the state.
The kit is so hard, he says, the Ohio factory that cut the wood broke four blades in the process. It's a 1,700 on the Janka scale, which is pretty high. "It makes my crew really appreciate maple," he says. This ply kit has a staggered tandem core in the center, with vertical plies on the outside for "luscious, wonderful bottom end." There are 50 kits and 50 snares available in this run, with a plan to make more next season.
