Nanci Beck was a close friend of mine and one of the stars of the Hollywood movie 'The Dirt Gang'. This film has a very special place in cinema history as it inspired Mad Max and the rest of the franchise from Mad Max to Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Nanci, who did her own stunts, was involved with an exciting chase scene through the desert which went on to feature, with a much bigger budget and scale, in every Mad Max film. It became the iconic chase scene and no Mad Max film is complete without it.

'The Dirt Gang' is the last of six biker movies made by American International. It is a fascinating and compelling mixture of genres. It is a Biker/Western/Revenge Tragedy. Like all good Revenge Tragedies it has forebodings and portents of doom throughout as the characters, driven by their leader's obsession for revenge, head towards their inevitable destinies.
