We spent a night on top of the spectacular East Mountain, in East Haven Vermont, at the Lyndonville Air Force Station.
Built in 1955 and Abandoned in 1963, the structures have decayed in the elements, but many are still standing and definitely worth visiting. At the Base of the Mountain is the Barracks Complex, consisting of living quarters, a Dining Hall, Motor Pool, and other smaller buildings. The Operations Complex on the summit had 5 large buildings for the Radar System, and a few other buildings for offices, maintenance, and generators.
