The island of New Guinea is one of the world's least explored islands, inhabited mainly by indigenous Melanesian people, who came to the island about 50,000 years, The island has a history of being colonized by Dutch, Germans, Britishers, and Japanese, but today the western side of this island is a part of Indonesia, which Indonesia has annexed in 1962, right after the New York Agreement.
