BOND HILL, Ohio (WKRC) – The Hamilton County Coroner’s office says 18-year-old Baylee Wall is the person found murdered behind Woodward High School last week.
Wall's body was found next to the bleachers at a baseball diamond on Oct. 23. She had no identification so police put out pictures of her clothing, jewelry and tattoos to try to identify her.
Just two days before her body was found, police in Alabama say Wall and Gary Eubanks Jr. robbed a Microtel Inn in Daphne. Leading up to the robbery at the hotel, Erin Vinson says the two had been staying at her apartment.
"If I had any idea she was going to be murdered two weeks later, I would have never let her out of my sight,” said Vinson.
Vinson says Walls told her Eubanks had been violent to her.
"We knew it was unhealthy, but obviously what can you do to someone who is 18-years-old to say go back home to your parents who care about you,” said Vinson. “Now I feel like I have some responsibility in the fact that I was the last person to see her and that I could have potentially saved her from that situation."
Police in Alabama are still looking for Eubanks Jr. and the car he was seen driving: a 2015 black four-door Volksgaen Passat with tag number JGE1791. Police are also looking for a third robbery suspect.
"There was a third person seen in the Microtel video. We still don't know who that person was, but there was one other person outside,” said Sgt. Jason Vannoy of the Daphne Police Department.
Investigators have not said how Wall died but they're treating her death as a homicide. Cincinnati Police have not released any suspect information in the murder of Wall.
