Miniseries Monday: One of the most ambitious miniseries of its time, this 1982 Civil War saga featured a star-studded cast, including Gregory Peck making his tv debut as Abe Lincoln. It was nominated for four Emmys, including one for the music. Bruce Broughton didn't win this time, but he would go on to receive nine Primetime Emmys for original music (still the record), plus a daytime Emmy ('Tiny Toon Adventures').
