This 1990 series that ran for ten seasons almost didn't make it to sophomore year. The first go-round ranked at a miserable #88 so Fox execs tried a stunt: a special 'summer season' that debuted in July. That perked audience interest enough to get the show back on track, though it never actually cracked the top 40. The series garnered many 'Young Artist' awards, but the only Emmy nomination was for a guest star from an earlier era: Milton Berle. The theme is by John E Davis, whose first attempt got a thumbs down from Fox execs. They wanted a replacement 'by tomorrow' so Davis pulled an all-nighter and delivered. "There are two feels – the rock and roll edge first, then at the end it turns a little sweeter, which was my homage to the family values of the show.” More on the theme and its signature clap-clap effect here - [ Ссылка ]
