Charles Black was a student at Morehouse College when students began to organize for civil rights, conducting a year-long boycott of downtown Atlanta businesses. Black, who was with the student movement from its beginning, was one of eight students in Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "A Seminar in Modern Social Philosophy" class.
