African Union forces in Somalia have denied claims that the Al-Shabaab militant group has killed dozens of Ethiopian troops at a base in the central Somali town of Halgan. Local residents, however, say that several civilians were killed. Al-Shabaab earlier said they had mounted a fresh raid on foreign soldiers.
