Showing some modifications I did to resurrect my sad 1942 m91/30 into a viable, accurate scout rifle.
In the future I plan to sand out the imperfections and paint it, but as of now here's a list of what I've done:
Monte Carlo stock
Full barrel float, reduced to 21 inches
Concave target crown, modified to center around bore
Shortened stock length
Bedded action/receiver
Shimmed, smoothed, and sharpened edges of trigger components
1 piece scope mount on rear dovetail sight base, pinned in place
Leupold 2.5x scout scope, but the cheap AIM scout scope I had
on previously worked just fine.
Lots of bolt polishing, and other things I cant remember right now
Thanks for watching!
Update:
Here is a recent shooting video of the rifle

You might notice that the barrel is a little shorter (19.5 inch) My cat somehow managed to push it off a high shelf and the muzzle ate hard concrete. Thumbs up to leupold for surviving the fall.
