CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A judge ordered the man accused of murdering a young woman in South Fairmount, held on one million dollars bond. Anthony Chase is charged with the murder of Jahmaria Cruz, 18.

Assistant prosecutor David Wood told the court that investigators believe Chase lured Cruz to an area near Ley and Mandery Avenues Sunday and then killed her. Witnesses reportedly told police that he kicked her body after shooting her.

Several people close to Cruz were watching the arraignment. They were visibly upset by that news.

Wood also said that he didn't believe Chase had been out of prison long after serving time for an aggravated robbery in which a gun was used.

Police have not said if they have a motive for Cruz's murder.
