A very intense Nor'easter underwent explosive cyclogenesis off the east coast of the US on Thursday, January 4, 2017. The storm's central pressure fell to 950 mb. Major snow and winds impacted New England. Meanwhile in the Hudson Valley, we were only clipped by the storm. Still, heavy snow and high wind gusts made for an impressive scene through most of the day.
