The ultimate guide to top sirloin steak with Omaha Steaks Executive Chef, Chef David Rose. Learn the unique flavors of top sirloin, how the butchers cut this steak, and how to cook a top sirloin.
Top Sirloin is a naturally lean steak with very little marbleization and meaty flavor. Typically, butcher’s cut each top sirloin between 5-8 ounces allowing for extreme flavor. With the natural big and bold flavors of the steak, don’t be shy with the seasoning! When it comes to cooking top sirloin, Chef David Rose prefers pan-roasting for a perfect edge to edge pink and an amazing sear on the outside cooking it to 120°F - 130°F for that delicious medium-rare doneness.
