Why Jazzy House Music?
Having a history with listening to the best jazz vocalists of all time and growing up listening to vinyl records I formed a love for artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Glen Miller, Count Basie and Frank Sinatra. When the neo swing jazz revival of the late 1990’s happened I was armed with jazz music knowledge that positioned me for my new career. Nightclub djs in Boston were playing mostly house music but I learned how to make house remixes of jazz songs. Quickly gaining DJ residencies in Boston and New York City at various nightclubs allowed me to share jazz, swing and neo swing music with thousand of people every week. This Jazzy House Mix Volume 2 showcases some of the best historical black jazz music artists I have come to love. New house music producers like Ross Couch, Kevin Yost, Jo Paciello, and Walter G inspired me to make my own modern deep house music with jazz influences. This groovy compilation is a mix of old and new house music that is an homage to days gone by while looking forward to the next chapter of house music. Give it a listen and groove your way!
