'극한호우'에 차량 갇힌 운전자 곳곳 비•강풍 피해 속출
Torrential rainfall pounded the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon-do Province overnight.
The heavy downpours took a toll on properties and even left a driver trapped in a flooded road.

Monsoon rain continued to batter parts of the country overnight.
Over in Cheorwon County in Gangwon-do Province, firefighters were called to a scene of vehicles stuck in flooded roads.
This, as the county at one point saw heavy rainfall of 74-point-2 millimeters per hour.
One driver was stuck in their vehicle as it filled up with floodwater, but firefighters were able to rescue them within 30 minutes of receiving the initial report.
Northern parts of Gyeonggi-do Province were again battered by heavy overnight rain.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on Tuesday, 84 millimeters fell in Pocheon, 62-point-5 millimeters in Dongducheon and Yeoncheon, and 58 millimeters in Paju during a 12-hour span from 5 PM Monday to 5 AM Tuesday.
Currently, all heavy rain advisories issued for the region have been lifted, with no flooding on major roads or railway suspensions.
Meanwhile, the Korea Forest Service has issued the second-highest landslide warning on a four-tier scale in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do Province, and the city of Incheon.
Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, and Daejeon are all issued the third-highest landslide warnings.
The forest service called on all residents in the affected areas to pay special attention to disaster warning messages and evacuate quickly in case of emergency.
More heavy rain is expected on Tuesday, with more than 150 millimeters expected to fall in the northern Gyeonggi-do region throughout the morning.
Up to 120 millimeters of rain is forecast for Seoul and Incheon during the same period.
