So Novation kindly sent a Circuit Tracks, and here's a wee soulful electro brass acid noodle on it after an hour of working it out, using preset sounds, drums and effects (my sequences obviously!). This is recorded straight out of the outs via an IK Multimedia capture device (which is causing the occasional clicks), no post processing. I've put 'paid promotion' as they sent me it, but I wasn't obliged to make a video.
I suspected I'd like it and that appears to be the case, it's got just enough to blast out ideas for tracks without too much to overproduce things with, and lead you astray. You can't just add and add parts, you have to work the ones available, as hardware is good at forcing you to do.
Not used here, but note the two MIDI tracks - there are two mono inputs so you can use it as a sequencer AND mixer for two other things, as well, and blend it all together in one device. If someone was just starting out it really makes for a very low barrier to entry, one could get this, and if you wanted to go further - then choose just two other things, and you don't need any other kit to make it all work together. And it's got an analog clock sync out, so that it can sync les synthes modulaires. Nice. 👹💃🏻
