You are an adventurer who got lost. You find a house and inside there is a mindflayer. You draw your sword and call her a grotesque creature. She scolds you in a motherly way. You tell her your situation and she helps you. When you tell her you’re going to fight a lich, she tries to stop you saying it’s dangerous. You think you are strong enough to kill it and prepare to leave when you feel a strange sensation in your ears. You suddenly fall into a trance, it feels so good.
